Expression of Thanks!

Today, I am thankful to get some much needed craft time in! It has been a busy week of commitments and I have barely set foot in my craft room. A little ‘paper therapy’ is just what I needed today!

Today’s card is another one from Paisleys & Posies bundle. I love the fresh fall colors in the coordinating Designers Series Paper. The colors are rich and vibrant and are perfect for fall or any occasion. You could easily make several designs of this card by switching out the top layer of paper and/or add a new sentiment such as thinking of you or birthday.  thankful, thanksgiving, Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper, 3/8 inch ribbon trio pak, Paisleys & Posies, Paisley Framelits, Holiday Catalog, handcrafted cards

Did you know the coordinating colors to the paper packs are listed nicely in the catalog underneath the Designer Series Paper, such as this one on page 47 of the Holiday Catalog? I can easily pull my inks from this list and I know they will coordinate beautifully!

As in my earlier card this week, I talked about how I added clear embossing powder to my wet ink after I’ve stamped, and then used my heat tool to set the embossing powder. I used that same technique on today’s card. This makes my colors so vibrant and I love how it shows off the beautiful flowers in this stamp set!

Paisleys & Posies please!

I am excited to be showcasing the Paisleys & Posies bundle this week on my blog. Paisleys are everywhere in todays fashion and they just make me happy! There are so many possibilities with this bundle when you pair it with the gorgeous Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper! It reminds me of fall, which is my favorite season.

For todays card, I used very vanilla cardstock as my card base. It goes beautifully with the colors in this specialty paper. I stamped my sentiment in soft suede ink on soft suede cardstock. Something I do a lot of is once I’ve stamped my image, I quickly sprinkle clear embossing powder over the ink and heat emboss with my heat tool. This gives sharpness and texture to my stamped image. It works best if you have a ‘juicy’ ink pad.
