Shout out loud if you have a birthday this month!! I have some special people in my life who do have birthdays, including my mom! I couldn’t let her special day go by without making her a hand stamped card. I hope she will enjoy it!
When I need a quick birthday card, Stylized Birthday is my go to stamp in the Annual Catalog, page 16! It is a great value at only $10.00! The font alone on this stamp, well, just makes me happy!! You could use it alone, stamped on a note card and your card is done. Or, add some designer series paper and some ribbon as I did and you have a cute card!
The details: For my base I used very vanilla cardstock as well as for the top layer cut at 4 x 5 1/4 in. I added a piece of DSP(designer series paper) from Petals & Paisleys measuring 1 1/4 x 3 1/2 in and a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 in piece. I stamped my sentiment on very vanilla cardstock with night of navy ink and then used my square framelit to cut it. I added a coordinating piece of cardstock cut out with a larger square framelits and popped it up on dimensionals. Added some 3/8in ribbon from the Holiday Catalog to finish my card off.
Here is another card I made for a birthday this month. Very similar to the one above!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I have inspired you to make your own hand crafted birthday cards. Until next time, God bless!
Today’s post is a spoiler alert if you are one of my scrapbook club gals and follow my blog! But, I really wanted to share this on my blog today! It was a lot of fun creating this two page layout and I can’t wait to share with my ‘gals’ on Monday. I hope they have as much fun making this as I did!
For todays project, I used the stamp set Spooky Fun with the coordinating Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies and the Halloween Night Specialty DSP. This paper pack has so many fun patterns! Plus, it comes with two single sided designs with silver foil that is just beautiful!
A few minor details: With smokey slate ink, I sponged around my photo matts to give them a ‘grungy’ look, as well as sponged around my DSP to give it more dimension. I stapled my orange trick or treat banner on the very edge of the smokey slate photo matt to allow a picture to slide under it.
Next weekend, I am taking the boys to the pumpkin patch. I can’t wait to fill up my pages with lots of sweet pictures!
