This week, the new Occasions catalog products are available to order. Now, that is super exciting! There are SO MANY great stamp sets and accessories you are going to love!
As a demonstrator, we are able to preorder new products a month before it is released to our customers. What does that mean……I’ve been busy in my craft room creating some fun cards to showcase. One of my favorite stamp sets out of the new catalog is Beautiful You.
The Beautiful You stamp set features three different sketched poses along with eight different sentiments. I love when stamp sets have coordinating greetings, which makes it so versatile.
Another fun product I used in todays card is the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. This framelit was released late this past year by Stampin’ Up! and has had a huge response. It is currently on backorder until January 16th.
Card measurements: Card base-Tip Top Taupe 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, Mint Macaron 4″ x 5 1/4″, Tip Top Taupe 2″ x 5 1/4″, Verry Vanilla 1 5/7″ x 5 1/4″.
Other product used: Softly Falling Impressions Embossing Folder, ink–Mint Macaron, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede, 3/8″ ribbon trio pack from the Holiday Catalog, Big Shot, Tombow Adhesive and Stamp-a-magig.
Stay tuned for more samples from the new Occasions Catalog! Thanks for stopping by.
Welcome to the weekend! Gotta love this mild weather we are having for this time of year in Nebraska. Although, a little moisture would be nice and I would certainly take that in the way of rain.
Today, I have more projects using the gorgeous Candy Cane Lane DSP from the Holiday Catalog. I received some happy mail this week, the new Stitched Shapes Framelits, so I had to add them to my project. You can get yours by going to my personal website; http://janettomky.stampinup.net or clicking on the shop now button. These cute little bags were created using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits on page 191 in the annual catalog. The sentiments are from Tin of Tags stamp set in the Holiday Catalog. I stamped them in real red ink and used my new Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut them out using the Big Shot. Doesn’t that stitching really set off the tag??!! Added a scallop circle that was cut out of real red cardstock with the Layering Circles Framelits. I completed my bag by adding a Gold Binding Clip and tied a piece of 3/8in Stitched Satin Ribbon to complete the gift bag!
The Mini Treat Bags hold a note size card perfectly. Add a gift card or gift certificate and you have a cute little Christmas gift that any one of your friends would love to receive!
Another gift bag idea using a full 12×12 sheet of Candy Cane Lane DSP and Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine. Perfect for holding a couple pairs of socks or maybe some candy or treats!
Have a great weekend! See you again soon!
Can you believe it is almost a week into November?! The temperature outside doesn’t give us any clue that winter is on its way. After doing a little yard clean up and supervising my husband who so sweetly plowed my garden, I got some time in my crafty space today. I got some inspiration on todays card from Pinterest. I can get lost for hours their if I’m not careful! Do you have the same problem??
Today’s card is using the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper and Candy Cane Lane Washi Tape which is on page 5 of the Holiday Catalog. This paper is so yummy….yes, it really is!! It is of a heavier weight paper, as like that of our cardstock. It would work great for making little gift bags or gift tags too! I had to do very little stamping on this card as you can see, and it went together really pretty fast. I punched out the cute little ginger bread house with a 2 inch punch from a sheet of the paper as well as the peppermints with a 1/2 inch punch. I used my Layering Ovals Framelits and cut out a piece of real red cardstock for the background of my house and then added a piece of scalloped early espresso cardstock. A little trick I will share with you….
to save paper, I simply cut the scalloped circle out of the early espresso background cardstock. Since this card has a white top layer, you can’t even tell it’s their! Pretty clever huh!!I first stamped my sentiment in early espresso and then added my washi tape. I then ran the top part through my big shot using the softly falling textured impressions embossing folder. I popped the peppermints up on dimentionals as well as behind the early espresso scallop and behind the red circle. This gave it lots of dimension which set the card off beautifully. To add a little more detail, you could even add some clear wink of stella glitter to the snow on the house and chimney.
I hope you have enjoyed todays card! I will be posting more ideas on my blog this week using the Candy Cane Lane bundle. Check back again soon!
